Fresh Perspectives: Fashion Week SD 2016

Fashion Week San Diego, just took place September 29th,through October 2nd.
This year's FWSD runway shows were held , in a tropical oasis, at the Hotel La Jolla. Giving fashion week a fresh perspective, in a new environment.

FWSD had 2 nights of  presentations  with 26 designers,  from various places of the world. A couple of local San Diegans, were also included overall at fashion week.
NBC 7's Jodi Kodesh, and Jeff Krapf, hosted the fashion shows. While DJ Demon provided the music.


The first night featured designers included, Chavon Shree, Killem W/Chic, Margaret the Maker, Valleau Apparel, Fuseik, Odd Bird Designs, DeAnnah Rae, Laced W/ B, P. Sangeeta, GFASH, Luis Rivas, RACA Designs, and B.Jash. I.



The fashion show kicked off with FWSD's annual Haute Dog fashion show. Each year the Rancho Coastal Humane Society, features rescue dogs strutting the catwalk. That are in need of a special care.
Following the Haute Dog fashion show, the designers Spring/Summer 2017 collections, hit the runway. As the models walked, spectators applauded at their favorite looks from the designers.

Aside from the spectacular fashion show. One highlight from the first night of runways, belonged to  proud parents in the audience. The parents were eagerly waiting for Valleau Apparel. To watch their teen daughter, debut as a model at FWSD.
VIP ticket holders also got to take home a sweet gift bag, at night one of runways!

The following night, downtown Los Angeles Spring and Fifth owner (and friend) Andrea Romero, attended. We had good times, laughing and dancing in our seats, while watching the shows!

The second night of runways included designers The Stylish Bisou, Albert Ray Collection, Circa Suzy, As Much Again, Gloria Guerrero, Territa Torres, Theo Doro Fairyland, Timmithea, y-u-l-i-a, Pashn by Survi, Bryan VaughnBerry, LK Fashion, and Jaded Marie.



The second night looks composed of contemporary clothing from Chicago, local boho chic, and couture gowns from India, and Africa. The intricate collections, flowed up and down the runway.





As fashion week concluded, the top 3 designers that received recognition were announced at the La Valencia Hotel.
